Questions and answers
- Is the trip planner free?
- Yes. Create as many plans and options as you like.
- Can I compare different routes?
- Yes. Each plan can have several options. Duplicate one, change the stops or the way you travel, and compare cost, nights and driving time side by side.
- How are distances and times estimated?
- Driving distance is estimated from the straight-line distance with a road factor, at about 85 km/h with breaks. Flights include airport time. You can type in your own numbers for any leg.
- What happens after the trip?
- Mark the plan as done and it becomes a trip on your map: countries and cities are marked visited and your statistics update.
